A Tree Care Website as Good as the Pruning
Keegan Seward, the owner of The Arborest Expert Tree Service, knew that his website was hurting his ability to bring in new business. The existing site did a poor job of selling the company’s value to customers and was difficult to update. Working with a tight budget, we built a new site from the ground up using WordPress and an off-the-shelf theme and page builder to show customers the value The Arborest brought to their properties. As the designer and builder of the site, I was responsible for bringing The Arborest’s brand to life on the web and ensuring our client knew how to make the updates they needed to grow their business.

Tree care can be complicated but the website that tells the story shouldn't be
The existing Arborest site wasn’t a good reflection of the time and effort the company put into their work. While it was enough to have a presence on the web, the site had become dated and hard to update.
One of the challenges we had was in figuring out what was most important for users of The Arborest site to see. After a lot of back and forth with Keegan, we knew that it was important for users to 1) know the value that The Arborest provided, and 2) how their process informed their services. Doing both of these would build trust with the customer while educating them on the premium The Arborest commanded.

With the new website, The Arborest was better able to tell their story—and why that mattered—to the users of the site. Images were selected to illustrate and support the copy. Brand colours were leveraged for visual consistency across the site, and we used context specific forms to make it easier for the user to communicate with the company.
After the launch of the new site, users reported to the company that they had a better understanding of the value that The Arborest brought to their work. The site continues to drive growth for the company.
